The electrocuted Griffon vulture (Sapes Forestry Service)

Yesterday (26 November) we were informed by the Forestry Service in Sapes that there was a dead adult Griffon vulture discovered close to Nea Santa village where the Egyptian vulture nests. The bird was found around 100 meters far from the network of high voltage pylons by soldiers while doing their morning exercises. In past, we found one Griffon vulture and two Black vultures electrocuted as well, but below low voltage pylons in other regions of mountainous Thrace.
